It's probably murder on their senses of curiosity as well.

[He has to think not all of the citizenry was as paranoid as the ones whose attention they had currently attracted. The unknown was dangerous and scary, sure, but it was also thrilling, enticing. Where some might shy away, nervous, others might edge forward, intrigued.

Either way, he's going to be mindful of the distance until he has a better grasp at what's going on around here.

He shoots the man a bit of a critical, scrutinizing look. Just given his own position and the people he'd dealt with, his own personal lens tends to paint such shrugging admissions with suspicion in bright red.]


Right. [He says it with a smile, though it's a bit of a sly one.] And I just transported cargo.

[He's ... well, yeah, he's mostly lying, but it is one aspect of what he'd done.]

Doesn't really matter who or what we were, though. Not with the powers we were given. They can change a person.

[Power had certainly changed aspects about him.]
