( After taking in quite a bit over the past week or so, coming to Shehui is...even more of a load on Elise's rattled brain. There's a lot to think about. A lot to be angry about. This isn't home, and that has its perks -- no zombies to slaughter, at first glance. Everyone seems normal. Oblivious. But it also means there are people missing. People that are far more important than the lack of flesh-eating monsters.
It's not so hard to believe that things from cheesy books and horror games are capable in reality, but that doesn't mean answers wouldn't be appreciated. Her first clue? The Floor and Room numbers she's given. Knock knock...she's certainly not entering without seeing what she's getting into first. Hi roomies? )

( Having a cell phone is a small comfort, and it isn't hard to get one here. One more advanced than what Elise had back home, even! She would have brought hers with her, but telecommunication devices kind of stopped being useful when the apocalypse happened.
The Redmolar text syncing is a new touch, though. A few phones ping up in her area...might as well see what the options are. )
hi!! who is this? ( Typed with a deadpan expression of a millennial who says LOL while line-facing. )

( It's not in her modus operandi right now, but Elise is decently good at smiling and being bubbly while being a total mess on the inside. Telepathy, however, gives away her poker face. No matter her expression, it's impossible for Elise to hold back her jumbled, cluttered thoughts -- wholly negative; she's sad, angry, mad, confused, traumatized. It's...a mess. )
( Perhaps the most normal she's felt all day is commiserating with someone else. This little girl -- who looks like the opposite of a little green man, coincidentally enough -- runs up to her, crying her eyes out. The other randos ignoring her was fine as far as Elise was concerned, but this small, blubbering child...it touches her darkened heart somehow. Reminds her of those she'd like to protect, if she could. )
Uh, here --- cat. Here, kitty! ( Maybe she should have asked for the names of these little ones. Oh, right -- there were more than one. She's exploring a park, glasses on for optimal vision, trying to find at least one of these furry fuckers.
Well, there is one unexplored option.) If one of you is stuck in a tree, that's the most cliche thing ever.
