Necessity doesn't alter the fact that from the descriptions of it that I've heard, it seems both harsh and unfair. It only adds an element of [ forced ] tolerability to it.

[ she's within her rights to dislike a system, even if it's something necessary— or even if it's something she actively makes use of and benefits from. still, she knows when someone has personal investment in something, when they had to defend something because it's the only option they had, and the fact of the matter is that homura doesn't. have any investment, that is, and it's too easy for her to project and talk when she's as far removed as she is.

to that end, her head dips in something like a diplomatic manner, if she remembered what one was, and: ]

There are things that are necessary. It will not stop some from calling such things wrong, or cruel, if their sensitivities dictate such.
