I don't plan on doing so now, but I also didn't realize I was doing it then.
[it's not as though he planned on helping out the bad guy. it just sort of happened without him figuring out the truth until it was too late.]
Alexei was initially the ideal leader. He was a good, just man. None of us could've foreseen his true aspirations.
