The blanket burrito flops forward with a groan. Everything was complicated! Even if it sounds like Emil is getting the general idea, there's the annoyed buzz that suggests he isn't understanding what Lalli's actually trying to explain. It's nothing new -- in fact, that was a large part of his frustration. No one ever understood it. Just the weird, sulking freak of a boy, yep, that's him yet again. At least...Emil said he wasn't stupid and crazy... That was nice.

You don't know for sure. I thought I was making decisions, but that's not stuff I do. [Even just considering holding himself as close to Emil as he had the day before -- heck, earlier in the day, even with as tame as that comparatively was -- made something in him freeze and boil at the same time. He wanted to fight.] I don't want...
